KEAC would like to start by acknowledging the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and First Nations. Even though we are meeting on a digital platform, we wish to take this opportunity to recognise the importance of the lands we call home. We do this to show our continued commitment and responsibility to improve our knowledge of local First Nations people, their cultures, and their relationships with various groups. From coast to coast, we recognise the unceded and ancestral territory of all the First Nations people who call this country their home. Please join me in a moment of reflection to recognise the mistakes and harms of the past and to think about how we can each, in our own way, move forward in the spirit of collaboration and reconciliation."  We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. Their history is our history. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
